Embracing the Embarrassment
They point at her.
Shoulders hunch and curl,
trying to force implosion.
Burning rosy with
the hot sweat of sunny days
or days so cold

Arthritic fingers

knees, her t-shirt.
There’s a flushy rash that no one misses
and no one chooses to ignore.
A little chagrined,
she opts to laugh.
